Lefkara Classic 2020

A quick "Lefkara Classic Guide" to answer some of your questions.

Lefkara Classic is a non-competitive endurance cycling event. Participants have to complete the 150km designated route, passing through all 4 checkpoints along the way within the given time limits - don't worry, there is plenty of time to cover the distance in a relaxed pace while enjoying the views. You can even squeeze a sneaky coffee stop if you like! 😉

🏁 The start time and the time limits for all checkpoints will be announced in a later post in the following days 🏁

At the start of the day each rider will be handed their own event card. This card needs to be presented at every checkpoint to get stamped and signed by the event marshalls.

At each checkpoint there will be a feeding station with plenty of water and snacks/bananas for all riders.

A broom wagon will follow the event to carry riders in case of emergency/mechanical/fatigue. No one will be abandoned in the mountains!

⚠️ Please note that we will not offer mechanical support and every rider needs to be self-sufficient in regards to spare tubes/multitool/pump/food/water/clothing ⚠️

Start and finish for the route is at Pano Lefkara square. As riders arrive back to Lefkara they will be able to enjoy some well-deserved 🍕 and 🍻 on us - just in case you needed some extra motivation to keep pedalling to the finish line! You can even bring your family to cheer you at the finish line.

Although not a competitive event we couldn't avoid throwing in a small optional competition for anyone who wants to give it a go. Along the route there will be special strava segment(s) to be announced soon with prizes offered by the event sponsors to the fastest riders.

Each participant will receive a goodie bag and all successful finishers will receive the commemorative t-shirt and medal!

Last, all Covid-19 safety precautions will be taken to protect the health and safety of all participants and event members.
