Akamas Mountain Bike tours is a bike center based in the western end of Cyprus, in Ineia village, right at the frontier of the great Akamas Peninsula! As the company name suggests, it specializes in bespoke guided tours in the heart of the National Park of Akamas with its ruggedness and unspoiled beauty!
Akamas Mountain Bike Tours is owned and run by Paul Dionysiou whose family has lived and worked for generations in the little picturesque village of Ineia. Himself he grew up in the UK where, as an avid mountain biker, has ridden some of the best forest trails. During his yearly vacations in Cyprus, he explored on a bike and while hiking this wild uninhabited region of Cyprus. Eventually, he didn’t want to return to UK anymore and decided to set up camp in his ancestral village.
He took it upon himself to introduce to the world the Akamas Peninsula, which he believes has everything to offer to any mountain bike enthusiast. His aim is to promote the Akamas Peninsula as one of Cyprus' best regions for the Mountain Bike Enthusiast, making each day’s ride exciting and challenging, visiting areas of the Peninsula that are only accessible to 4X4 vehicles and on foot.
That said, he also wanders very often in the beautiful Pafos Forest and on the trails around Olympus, the peak of Troodos mountains. The yearly Olympus to Pafos ride he organizes is getting a cult reputation on the island and is always well attended by locals and guests!
